The first edition of the Polish Animated Films Competition established in collaboration with the Polish Filmmakers Association. 

During the second edition of Polish Animated Films Competition ANIMATOR.PL, 32 films will compete to win Crystal Animusz and 10 000 PLN. Polish Animated Films Competition ANIMATOR.PL 2019 is co-created with Polish Filmmakers Association and Center of Audio-Visual Technologies (CeTA).

The jury members of the second edition Animatora.PL: Hanna Margolis, Jacek Spychalski and Gunnar Strøm.

Hanna Margolis - representative of Polish Filmmakers Association
Author of animated films, art historian and researcher of the Polish animated film, author of publications and books on this area of study. Member of festival jury at, e.g. Annecy in 2016. Collaborates with film institutions and festivals in Poland and abroad as an expert and programmer. Is currently preparing her PhD dissertation at the History of Art Institute of the Warsaw university on animated film and women in Polish cinematography.

Jacek Spychalski - representative of the Center of Audio-Visual Technologies
His career began in 1995 in the Se-ma-for studio in Łódź, where he co-created scenery and props for many different productions such as: “Danny Boy”, "Ichtys", "O największej kłótni". He also worked together with Breakthru Films on the Oscar-winning “Piotruś i Wilk”, and on “Zaczarowany fortepian”, where he acted as the Art director. Since 2013, he works at the Center of Audio-Visual Technologies in Wrocław, where he is responsible for stop-motion animation and trick photography projects. His most recent collaborations are: the Oscar nominee “Twój Vincent” („Loving Vincent”) or “The Kite”.

Gunnar Strøm - Animation form Norway program curator.
Professor emeritus at Volda University College. Established the documentary and animation study at VUC. Former Vice-President and Secretary General of International Animated Film Society. Founder of Fredrikstad Animation Festival. FAF award for best Nordic/Baltic animation films, The Golden Gunnar, is named after him.
