The film director Enzo D’Alò was born in Naples in 1953. He is also a musician and a screenwriter. He began his career as a director in television and animation. In 1979 he joined Laterna Magica in Turin. In this environment of audiovisual experiments, he worked with children teaching them different techniques of animation. During the ‘90s he produced several films for young audiences, such as Pimpa’s World - an adaptation of a famous cartoon series from Italy, in cooperation with a notable cartoonist Osvald Cavandoli (1920-2007).
