David Ehrlich is an award-winning independent American animator and author of many articles on animation. Living and working in the Vermont mountains, he has also produced a number of international collaboration animations, is a professor of film at Dartmouth College, and has led animation workshops for children throughout the world. He served as ASIFA Vice-President for six years, and at the 2002 Zagreb Animation Festival he was awarded the ASIFA Special Prize for his lifetime contribution to animation. In 2002, a book on Ehrlich's life and work, "David Ehrlich: Citizen of the World," by Olivier Cotte was published.
