A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Paul began his professional career with the Jim Henson Company in New York City. During his tenure there, Paul designed and built characters for many projects including Muppets Christmas Carol, Animal Show, Muppets Tonight!, and Disney's Bear in the Big Blue House.
Paul's success as a designer led him to the position of Creative Director at Shadow Character Design where he led a team of artists and technicians to create sophisticated new puppet characters for performance in computer generated virtual environments.
Paul has directed and edited his own short films: Mother Hubbard, Ye Ballade of Ivan Petrofsky Skevar, and his newest edition- I Knew an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.
He is now fully dedicated to his company Puppet Heap and it’s three arms: Puppet Heap Workshop, Puppet Heap Playthings, and Puppet Heap Moving Picture Company which are located in Hoboken, NJ. Paul and his talented staff create dynamic and exciting new puppet characters for their own independent short films as well as clients around the world including: The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon, Diet Coke, Happy Films, Terry Fator, and many more.
