McAdams Heather
HEATHER MCADAMS is a cartoonist, fine artist and independent filmmaker. She has made 25 short films and received numerous grants for her experimental films. Heather was hired by MTV to turn her autobiographical comic strips into short animations. Along with her husband Chris Ligon, she taught herself cel animation. Her cartoons ran in the Chicago Reader from 1980 to 2000 and her illustrations have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, New York Times, New York Press, Bust Magazine and Mademoiselle. A collector of 16mm films, she and her husband currently live in Chicago where they create live films and music shows.
