A cut-out animation based on Frans Mesareel's woodcuts – the animated film classic from 1932. A revolutionary idea (in the shape of a nude woman) is conceived by the artist, forever stirring men to revolt. Poetic, tragic allegory.

Three-dimensional blocks move to the rhythm of the overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor. Fischinger revolutionised film by introducing a camera movement. The film received a Special Award at Venice Festival in 1935.
